1. Three fireworks displays on the Thames

    A date for your diaries, as next month, there will be three separate fireworks displays on the Thames in central London.

    No reason was given for the fireworks, which we only know about thanks to river traffic warnings from the PLA for boats to avoid the areas.

    The usual reason is private parties or corporate events though.

    Tuesday 13th June

    There will be fireworks opposite the Battersea power station, so the best view will be on the north side of the river facing the power station.

    The displays will commence at 10:40pm and last about 10 minutes.

    Friday 16th June

    There will be fireworks opposite Somerset House at 10:50pm, so views will be good on either side of the river.

    Tuesday 20 th June

    This is a repeat of the Battersea fireworks on the previous Tuesday.
